In order to ensure the security of your company data, your company can configure Security Compliance Checks that your device must pass to use Venn.
If your company has enabled the Genuine iOS security compliance check, your Apple mobile device must have a genuine iOS, ensuring that it hasn’t been jailbroken or rooted. This compliance check is put in place to ensure that the operating system on your Apple device meets specific security standards. Jailbroken or rooted devices can be susceptible to malware, data leakage, and backdoors, amongst other exploits.
You can see if your device passed this check by checking your Device Policy.
- If your mobile device passes this check, Genuine iOS will have a green check next to it.
- If your mobile device fails this check, Genuine iOS will have an orange exclamation point next to it.
If you failed this security check:
- Close the Workplace app.
- Follow the instructions below to attempt to fix the issue.
- Restart your mobile device.
- Open the Workplace app and wait for the compliance checks to finish processing.
- If the check fails again, contact your IT department.
