In order to ensure the security of your company data, your company can configure Security Compliance Checks that your device must pass to use Venn.
If your company has enabled the Known devices security compliance check, your device must be marked as "known" in your company's admin settings, meaning that the device is approved for work use. This compliance check is to ensure that users can only use Venn on devices that have been identified as their Known Devices.
- If your computer passes this check, your Compliance Status will say Device marked as known.
- If your computer fails this check, your Compliance Status will say Device not marked as known. This indicates that the computer you are using is not recognized as a Known Device by Venn.
If you failed this security check:
- Sign out and close the Workplace app.
- Follow the instructions below to attempt to fix the issue.
- Restart your computer.
- Sign in to Workplace and wait for the compliance checks to finish processing.
- If the check fails again, contact your IT department.
Request that Your Device Be Marked as Known
To comply with this requirement and/or resolve the failed check, your company's IT team or the person who manages Venn for the company must mark each of your devices as "known" or approved for use.
Contact your company IT team and request that they use the linked instructions to mark your device as a Known Device.
