Once you have enrolled in Venn on your Android or Apple device and downloaded a work-managed web browser, we recommend that you enable password autofill for your work-managed web browser. Enabling password autofill allows your saved passwords to auto-populate in your work-managed browser.
Enable Password Autofill on Your Android Device
You must have a work-managed browser for password autofill to work on your mobile device. To confirm that you have a work-managed browser installed on your Android device, swipe up from the bottom of your screen, tap the Work tab, and check to ensure that it appears in the Work Profile.
If you don't see Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge in your Work Profile, follow these steps to download a work-managed web browser.
- Open your Android Settings.
- Search for Autofill service or Passwords & accounts.
- Tap on the Work tab.
- Under Autofill service, tap the default provider. Usually, this is listed as the Google app.
- Tap Workplace and confirm Workplace as the autofill provider.
Enable Password Autofill on Your Apple Device
You must have a work-managed browser installed for password autofill to work on your mobile device. To confirm that you have a work-managed browser installed on your Apple device, go to the Apps tab of the Workplace app. Work-managed apps are listed in the Installed Apps section.
If you don't see Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge in your list of Installed Apps, follow these steps to download a work-managed web browser.
- Open your device Settings.
- Scroll and tap Passwords.
- Tap Password Options or Autofill Passwords.
- Tap the toggle to the right of Workplace or Workplace to allow autofilling.
In addition to the iCloud/Default Keychain, iOS 15-17 only allows users to enable one source for password autofill. If you toggle on autofill for Workplace, autofill will automatically be toggled off for any other source such as Chrome. iOS 18 allows users to enable two keychains in addition to the iCloud/Default Keychain.
