Change a User's Role

Venn's Blue Border has three user roles:

  • Company Manager: Users that have full access to the Venn Admin Portal and can manage user access and security settings for their organization
  • Read Only Company Manager: Users that have access to view and export information in the Venn Admin Portal, but cannot make changes to user access or security settings
  • Standard: Default user type with end-user access to the Venn Launcher and Web Portal

By default, all user accounts are created with the standard user type.

To change a user's role:

  1. Navigate to login.venn.com and sign in with valid credentials.
    You may be required to verify the sign-in by completing the multifactor authentication on your mobile device.
  2. Click Company admin or Manage > Company admin.

  3. Click Manage users.

  4. Click on the user's name.

  5. Click Security options.

  6. Click Edit at the bottom of the page.
  7. Check or uncheck the following settings depending on the role you want the user to have:
    • Company Manager: Check the box next to Company manager and uncheck the box next to Read Only Access
    • Read Only Company Manager: Check the box next to Company manager and check the box next to Read Only Access
    • Standard User: Uncheck the box next to Company manager and uncheck the box next to Read Only Access
  8. Click Save changes at the bottom of the page.
