Manage Venn User Access with Google Workspace as Your IdP

Once Google Workspace is set up as your Venn Identity Management solution, you will create users in Venn and your users' login information will be linked from Google to Venn (matching on email address).

Provision User Access to Venn when Google Workspace is Your IdP

If Google Workspace is set up as your Venn Identity Management solution, you must assign the app to appropriate organizational units in Google Workspace and add users in Venn to grant them access.

In order to grant user access to Venn, you must assign the custom Venn app you created to users in Google Workspace AND add them as users in Venn.

To provision user access:

  1. Assign the Venn app to appropriate users in Google Workspace Admin.

    1. Log in to Google Workplace Admin.

    2. In the menu at left, click Apps and select Web and mobile apps.

    3. Locate the custom Venn app that you created and expand the User access section.

    4. Assign the app to the appropriate organizational units.
  2. Add users in Venn following the steps in this article.
    Users will be matched on email address, so make sure that users' email addresses in Google Workspace match the email address on their user record in Venn.

Remove User Access from Venn when Google Workspace is Your IdP

You can remove access to Venn for a user by disabling or deleting their user account in Venn following the steps in this article. You may want to also unassign the app from users in Google Workspace.
