System and Software Requirements for Workplace Stronghold

Workplace can be accessed from a wide range of workstations, laptops, tablets, and phones. In order to make sure that our services integrate optimally and new features behave as expected, we require hardware and software that meet the following minimum system requirements.

This article ONLY applies for Workplace Stronghold customers.

Recommended Hardware Requirements

  • Processor
    • Mac
      • Minimum Supported:
        • Apple Silicon (M1)
        • Intel i5, 6th generation or newer, dual-core, 1.7 gigahertz (GHz) or faster
      • Optimal Performance 
        • Apple Silicon (latest)
        • Intel i7 and higher
    • Windows
      • Minimum Supported:
        • Intel i5, 6th generation or newer, dual-core, 1.5 gigahertz (GHz) or faster
        • AMD Ryzen 5, dual-core, 1.5 gigahertz (GHz) or faster
      • Optimal Performance:
        • Intel i7 and higher
        • AMD Ryzen 7 and higher
  • Memory (RAM)
    • Minimum supported: 8GB of RAM
    • Optimal Performance: 16GB of RAM
  • Hard Drive
    • A Solid State Hard Drive (SSD) with at least 128GB of capacity.
    • About 1GB of available storage is needed for installation.
  • Networking
    • 512 kbps of available bandwidth.
  • Not Supported:
    ARM Processors

Only One Operating System Directly Installed on a System That Meet the Hardware Requirements Is Supported.

Not Supported: 
Any Virtualized Operating System (ex: VMWare, Parallels, VirtualBox, Remote Desktop (RDP))
Systems Configured to Boot Multiple Operating Systems such as:
- An Apple Computer With Bootcamp Running Windows
- An Apple Computer With Multiple Volumes of macOS
- A PC With Multiple Versions of Windows

Supported Windows Operating Systems

  • Windows 10: Microsoft has implemented 18-month service cycles for Home and Pro editions
    • Version 22H2 (Microsoft support will end on October 14, 2025)
  • Windows 11: Microsoft has implemented 24-month service cycles for Home and Pro editions
    • Version 22H2 (Microsoft support will end on October 8, 2024)
