Sharing a Folder in Workplace for Browsers

This Feature May Not Be Enabled Based on Your Organization's Access Policy.
Organizations that wish to access this feature can contact their customer success manager or workplace provider.
Only Top Level Folders can be Shared.
Sub-folders cannot be shared independently.

Introduction

The Workplace file system makes it easy to share folders with other people, both inside and outside your organization. This solution is specifically designed for transferring files to and from clients or vendors, securely.

Sharing a Folder

  1. Navigate to login.venn.com and sign in with valid credentials.
    You may be required to verify the sign-in by completing the multi-factor authentication on your mobile device.
  2. Click icon-folder Files in the sidebar.

  3. Select an existing folder or click New folder to create a new shared folder.
  4. Hover over the selected folder and click Sharing.
  5. Enter the recipient's name or group name.  If the recipient is not listed, click Add new member.
    • Enter the name, email and mobile phone number for the person you would like to share the folder with and click Add new member.

  6. Click Add.

  7. Select appropriate permissions settings for the shared group or user.
  8. Optionally, enter a message for the recipient(s). 
  9. Click Share Folder.

The recipient(s) will receive an email explaining how to access the folder.

Modifying or Removing Access to a Shared Folder

  1. Navigate to login.venn.com and sign in with valid credentials.
    You may be required to verify the sign-in by completing the multi-factor authentication on your mobile device.
  2. Click icon-folder Files in the sidebar.

  3. Select the shared folder.
  4. Hover over the selected folder and click Sharing.
  5. Locate the user or group and click on the Permissions button.

  6. Select the appropriate permission settings for the user or group.
    • To remove access, click Remove member.

The recipient(s) will receive am email explaining access to the shared folder has been modified.
