Updating Workplace Desktop

Workplace Desktop will check for updates automatically every few hours. When an update is detected, it will be automatically downloaded to your computer.  

The update will be applied next time you restart the Workplace app (by quitting/relaunching, logging off/on your computer, or rebooting your computer).

To Update Workplace Desktop Immediately

If There Is No Update Icon, Then You Are Already Running the Latest Version of Workplace Desktop.
  1. Click the Update icon on Workplace for Windows or Workplace for Mac app.

  2. Click New version available. Click to restart.
    Workplace will restart and install the update. 
  3. Workplace will install the update and restart automatically.
    • You may be prompted to allow a system extension.

    • Open Security Preferences and Click Allow.

Additional Privacy Settings for macOS

Once Workplace is installed, the following settings should be enabled automatically. You can follow this process to troubleshoot issues you might have with the update.
  1. Click the Apple menu.
  2. Click System Preferences.
  3. Click Security and Privacy.
  4. Click the Privacy Tab.
  5. Ensure Workplace is enabled under Accessibility and Full Disk Access.
