Update Venn's Workplace App

We recommend that users keep their Workplace app up-to-date to ensure that they have the newest features, functionality, and bug fixes in Blue Border.

Update Available

Venn automatically checks for updates every few hours. When an update is available, it will be automatically downloaded to your computer and the Update icon will appear in the Workplace app in the left panel on a PC or in the top right on a Mac.

We're also introducing a more prominent update notification. Over the coming weeks, users will start to see these notifications when Venn detects that there are updates available. Venn will still automatically install updates when you restart the Workplace app.

Click Update now to update or Update later to delay 24 hours.

Some updates require a full Venn restart while others can be completed while you're working. Make sure you save your work before completing an update that will require a restart.

Workplace App Automatic Updates

Once Venn has detected and automatically downloaded an update, it will be automatically applied next time you restart the Workplace app.

If you regularly sign out of the Workplace app or shut down your computer, updates will be applied for you automatically.

Manually Update the Workplace App

Mac

To manually update the Workplace app on a Mac, click the Update icon Update icon.png in the Workplace app in the top right on a Mac. The app will automatically update.

Windows

To manually update the Workplace app on a PC:

  1. Click Settings at the bottom left of the Workplace app.
  2. Click Update app.

Check if Venn is Up-to-Date

If you do not see the Update icon, Venn hasn't detected any available updates. Venn checks for updates every couple of hours. 

You can manually check if you have the latest version of the Workplace app installed under Settings.
