Set Default Browsers for Inside and Outside of Blue Border on Your Mac

You can select which default browsers you want to open links inside and outside of Blue Border on your Mac on the Default Browsers tab in your Blue Border Settings.

The default browsers Blue Border setting is only available on Mac. Windows users can set their default browser in their Windows Settings.

Select Default Browsers on a Mac

You can choose which browsers links are routed to inside and outside of Blue Border on your Mac in your Blue Border Settings.

  1. Click settings-icon@3x.png Settings in the top right corner of Blue Border.
  2. Click the Default Browsers tab.
  3. Choose your default browsers. Your changes will save automatically.

    • For Inside Blue Border, you can choose from Blue Border's supported browsers, Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge, if they are installed on your device. 

      To access websites in Blue Border, you must have a supported browser installed: Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge. Learn how to install Chrome or Edge to use in Blue Border. If you don't have a supported browser installed, links you click in Blue Border will not open.
    • For Outside Blue Border, you can choose from all browsers installed on your device.

    Because you can't have the same app open in both places at one time, we recommend choosing different default browsers for inside and outside of Blue Border so there's no need to switch back and forth.     Workplace Web Launcher

    You will set Workplace Web Launcher as your default web browser in your Mac System Settings when you first install Blue Border. This ensures that links you click in Blue Border open in Blue Border and that links you click outside Blue Border open outside.
