We've made several under-the-hood improvements to how Blue Border works for Windows users that make Blue Border faster at startup, more compatible with the security tools in your environment, and better for day-to-day web conferencing.
Faster Startup
We've reduced desktop app startup time by 34% from 87 to 57 seconds for 95% of users. The difference is immediately noticeable for users who were waiting the longest for Blue Border to start up after they signed in.
Improved Compatibility with VPNs and Security Tools
We've updated how Blue Border handles DNS for Windows 11+ to prevent third-party DNS filtering services from intercepting or disrupting lookups inside the Secure Enclave. This resolves many of the conflicts with third-party security tools that previously blocked users during onboarding.
Improved Web Conferencing Quality
We've improved how we route web conferencing and VOIP app traffic inside Blue Border to enable optimal performance.
Until now, the App-Based Routing option in your Network DLP policy excluded TCP/IP traffic for conferencing and VOIP apps from routing through the Private Company Gateway. This helped reduce call latency.
We've extended that option to also exclude all UDP traffic for conferencing and VOIP apps. This ensures that real-time audio and video is routed as efficiently as possible, improving call quality.
