Release Highlight (Early Access) April 28, 2026: Verify Your Identity to Get Back to Work

Early Access Our new session management settings which enable this new experience were made available for early access customers on April 28, 2026.

Getting back to work is about to get easier! Users told us having to restart Blue Border and their work apps every time they were automatically signed out was slowing them down, so we made some changes.

What's New

Many companies that use Venn are moving to our new idle timeout experience, which allows you to simply verify your identity to keep working after you’ve stepped away from your computer.

Watch this short video to see how it works:

Availability

Your company controls what happens when you return to Blue Border from being idle using these session management security settings, so not all users have the same experience in Blue Border.

FAQ

Why do I need to verify my identity?

Venn offers session management options as security measures that allow companies to protect their data by requiring that users verify their identity when returning from being idle.

Venn created this new idle timeout experience that allows users to verify their identity instead of being automatically signed out to improve the user experience while keeping the security check that companies need.

How frequently do I need to verify my identity?

Each company controls their own idle timeout settings. Our default is 600 minutes (10 hours).

Do I need to complete MFA when I verify my identity?

Yes. If you currently complete MFA (e.g., via an authenticator app) when you sign in to Venn, you will also need to do so when you verify your identity.
