Working in Hosted websites can provide the same experience as working with a local browser. We provided options that allow you to configure the Hosted Browser to optimize your workflow.
- From your Launch Page, or
- Click Websites in the sidebar. Select the website you wish to launch and you will notice a gray cloud sitting on the logo and a message stating that the website will be accessed in the hosted environment.

Hosted Browsers have the same functionality as local browsers - you can have multiple tabs open and save bookmarks using the Workplace extension.
With the Hosted Browser, we added technology that will suspend and pause tabs that are processor and memory intensive after a set amount of time to free system resources to offer better performance for you and your team.
- Right-click the Workplace browser extension, and click Options.
In the Hosted Browser options, you can customize:
- Suspension Timing
- By default, Hosted Browsers will suspend tabs after 40 minutes of inactivity. You can modify the duration of inactivity(1-120 minutes) before a tab suspend.
- Pinned Tabs
- Hosted Browsers let you pin browser tabs for fast, repeated access. You can prevent the Secure Browser from suspending these tabs by checking the box next to Do not suspend pinned tabs.
- Sites with Input Forms
- By default, Hosted Browsers will not suspend tabs that have an input form (e.g., a CRM system where you're recording an activity).

- Whitelisting
- Any website you enter into the whitelist will never be suspended. The categories above are designed so that you don't have to manage a long whitelist. When you do add a website, you can do so in one of three ways:
- Specific Website - Enter the full URL of the website.
(ex: https://finance.yahoo.com) - Specify a Part of the URL - Enter keywords or parts of the URL.
