When you access your files in a hosted environment - whether your device is out of compliance or mandated by company policy - the Hosted File Manager allows you to navigate your Workplace file system just as if it were saved on your local computer. Let's take a look.
- Launch File Manager via the folder icon (Windows) or hard drive icon (macOS), or
- Select Apps from the sidebar and then double-click File Manager from the All Apps list.
Citrix will launch and open the hosted File Manager.
[show comparison of local and hosted File Manager WITHOUT %FULLUSERNAME] You'll notice that your Workplace (S:) drive and custom file shares (if configured) are available. You might not be able to move files in or out of your hosted file manager, depending on your company configuration.
Navigate to a file and double-click to open. The file automatically launches in the appropriate hosted application. When you click save, the file will sync to your Workplace drive in the cloud and can be accessed from any device with Workplace installed.
While working in the Hosted File Manager, you also have the ability to right-click a file to perform many common file actions you'd find in your local file manager.
