As a Company Manager, you can add one-time or recurring scripts to any Windows app automate setup and maintenance, so you can get users up and running faster, streamline app management, and smooth the user experience at scale.
Here are some examples of how automated app scripts can be used:
- Apply a company license to a key work app automatically, so users don't have to enter a key.
- Enable an important add-in or setting in an app, so users have everything they need from day one.
- Check for and apply updates before app launch, so users are always using the latest version.
Once you have configured available apps on the Apps page in Company Admin, you can apply automated app scripts on the Configuration Scripts tab on each app's detail page.
Your Responsibility as a Company Manager
You can configure automated scripts that run either inside or outside of Blue Border. Because applications that users run in Venn are installed and run locally on their devices, you may need to configure scripts to run outside of Blue Border.
Before configuring scripts that will run outside of Blue Border, we ask that you consider data protection and user privacy.
- As an employer, it is your responsibility to ensure that any scripts you put in place adhere to applicable data protection and privacy laws (such as GDPR, CCPA, or local labor regulations).
- As a Venn Company Manager, it is your responsibility to implement security without overreach, use administrative access responsibly, and respect the limits of Blue Border. To learn more, visit our privacy framework.
