Previously, if your Device Policy had Balanced or Strict Conditional Access enabled, Venn checked device compliance continuously throughout a user's session, with no way to change that behavior.

What's New

If you set Conditional Access to Enabled/Strict or Balanced (hybrid-only), you will now see the option to disable Continuous Conditional Access when you change your Conditional Access Settings.

• On: Device compliance is enforced continuously during an active session (this is how Enabled/Strict or Balanced behaved before).
• Off: Compliance is enforced at login only. In-session compliance failures are logged silently and don't interrupt the user.

Going forward, Continuous Conditional Access will be set to "Off" by default. Existing policies aren't changing — if Conditional Access is set to Enabled/Strict or Balanced, your setting is preserved as-is. The new default only applies to net-new customers or to changes made going forward.

You'll also notice a small visual refresh to the Conditional Access indicator and settings popup on the Device Policy page.

Get Started

1. Go to Company Admin > Device Policy, click Change in the banner at the top of the page.
2. Look under Advanced Option when Conditional Access is set to Enabled/Strict or Balanced to turn Continuous Conditional Access on or off.

FAQ

Will this change my current setting?

No. Existing Conditional Access policies are unchanged. The new "Off" default only applies going forward, to net-new customers or to changes you make.

What happens when compliance fails mid-session with the toggle off?

The failure is recorded but doesn't disrupt the user. Compliance is still enforced fully at login.
