LZ:104.03 Installing a LocalZone™ Browser on your Mobile Device

Be sure to enroll your mobile device before continuing. Once your device is enrolled, you can download and install native applications that have been approved for work use.

To access your work-related websites on your mobile device, you will need to install a native web browser, such as Chrome, that has been approved for work use.

Install a LocalZone™ Browser on Android

Google Chrome is the default browser installed on Android devices.  
Typically, Google Chrome is added to the Work Profile automatically during device enrollment.
  1. Complete the enrollment process and open Workplace for Android in the Work Profile.
  2. Tap the Apps tab. 
  3. Tap Install at the top of the screen.

    You will be redirected to the Google Play Store in the Work Profile.
  4. Tap Install or Enable to download and install the browser application.
  5. A LocalZone™ browser has been installed and is ready for use in the Work Profile.

Install a LocalZone™ Browser on iOS/iPadOS

  1. Complete the enrollment process.
  2. If the desired browser is installed on the device, please delete it before proceeding.
    To install a LocalZone™ version of a browser, the App Store version must be deleted first.
    The following browsers are supported on iOS:
    Google Chrome
    Microsoft Edge
  3. Open Workplace for iOS.
  4. Tap the Apps tab.
  5. Tap Install at the top of the screen.
  6. Tap Install in the slide up modal.
  7. You will be prompt to install the browser application.  Tap Install when the prompt appears.

  8. A LocalZone™ browser has been installed and is ready for use.
