All Devices Admin Overview

As a Company Manager, you can view information about all devices where Venn is installed on the All Devices page in Company Admin.

The device inventory provides crucial insights into each device, including its location, compliance status based on your company's policies, and detailed configuration information.

View the Device Inventory

To access the device inventory:

  1. Navigate to login.venn.com and sign in with valid credentials.
    You may be required to verify the sign in by completing the multifactor authentication on your mobile device.
  2. Click Company admin or Manage > Company admin.

  3. Click All devices in the left navigation

The device inventory list provides a snapshot of the devices where the Venn software is installed. Devices will remain on the device inventory list unless one of the following happens:

The inventory summary includes:

  • User Name
  • Device Name
  • Compliance Checks: Displays a count of required or recommended compliance checks that failed
  • Operating System
  • Device last seen: When the device last sent data to the portal

Click on a device in the list to view device details.

Click Export data to export detailed device information as a .csv file.

Device Retention Setting

You can determine your company's device retention setting, which governs how long devices stay on the device inventory. This setting can help ensure that only devices that have recently accessed Venn show up in your device inventory for reporting and analysis.

To adjust this setting:

  1. Follow the steps above to navigate to the All Devices Admin page.
  2. Click Device Cleanup or Device Retention.Company admin_All Devices_Device retention.jpg
  3. To automatically remove devices from your device inventory:Company admin_All Devices_Device retention setting.jpg
    1. Check Enable automatic device retention.
    2. Specify how recently devices must have connected to Venn in order to stay on the device inventory.
  4. To keep all devices on your device inventory, uncheck Enable automatic device retention.
  5. Click Apply.

Export Device Information

To export details about the devices where the Venn software is installed as a .csv file:

  1. Follow the steps above to navigate to the All Devices Admin page.
  2. Click Export data in the top right corner of the page.

  3. Check the items under each section name that you would like to include in your export or check the "Add all" checkbox to the right of the section name to include all items within the section.
  4. Click Export.

  5. Specify a file name and where you would like to save the export and click Save.

View Device Details for a Device

You can access the device panel for each device on your device inventory, which contains comprehensive device information and gives you access to device actions.

To open the device panel for a device, click the device row in the device inventory.

The device panel includes the following information and actions organized into tabs:

  • Device Overview: This tab contains a summary of key information and actions. More detailed information and actions can be found on subsequent tabs.
  • Device Details: This tab contains comprehensive device details.
    • View the following device detail information:
      • Device model
      • CPU
      • RAM
      • Device Name
      • Device login name
      • Venn login name
      • Workplace version
      • Device last seen: Date and time device last sent data to the admin portal
      • OS Version
      • Approximate location
      • IP address
      • User last seen: Date and time of last user login to Venn (on this or another device)
    • Check I know this device to mark the device as approved or "known."
    • Click Download device info to download detailed device information.
  • Actions: This tab gives you access to key device actions.
  • Compliance Status: This tab provides a full overview of each failed and passed compliance check from the most recent Venn login.
