Release Highlight July 1, 2026: Redesigned macOS Permissions Guide

Available Now The redesigned macOS Permissions Guide is available for all Blue Border customers as of July 13, 2026.

As part of the initial user onboarding process, Mac users need to enable specific permissions on their device to allow Blue Border to run as expected. Our Permissions Guide walks users through those steps after they install the desktop app, and we've made some major improvements based on user feedback.

What's New

Redesigned Guide

We rebuilt the macOS Permissions Guide based on user feedback. Blue Border now walks you through each permission one at a time, with user-friendly language and clear, annotated screenshots showing exactly what to click. The new guide makes it easy for users to track their progress and advances automatically once each permission is granted.

New Work Password Storage Permission (macOS 26.6+)

For users on macOS 26.6 or later, Blue Border now includes a new step in the permissions guide that allows Venn to set up secure storage for their work passwords. Users will be prompted to enter their Mac password during this step so Venn can set up this secure storage. Venn does not store this password or access users' personal passwords.
