Failed Mobile Compliance Check: Passcode Set on iOS Check Failed

This compliance check verifies the device has a passcode set.

When a device fails this check, anyone with physical access to this device would be able to view the contents such as email, files, photos, messages, or any other data.

To resolve this issue, set a passcode for the device.

Remediation Instructions

  1. Open the Settings application
  2. Tap Face ID & Passcode (Touch ID & Passcode for iPhone 8 and earlier, Passcode for devices without TouchID)
  3. Tap Turn Passcode On.
  4. Enter and confirm a passcode.
    • Note: On iOS 12.4 and later, you may need to enter your Apple ID credentials.
